SANITY COMMISSION – HEALTHY MUSIC FOR INSANE PEOPLE (Limbabwe 14) 1983.
The tape title suggests a large group of people living in the part of the world called West are insane. Hmmm, probably Sanity Commission was right in that. Maybe their music is for them healthy, but also very mainstream. Probably this was the most normal and ‘common’ release on Limbabwe. New wave pop clearly inspired (copy?) by The Cure. That music reaches a large group, already in 1983 the Cure was flying up to their ‘first league’ status. I do question though how ‘healthy’ that music was.
Don’t remember much about this band. I think these recordings where done by me, but not sure. Sanity Commission was not from Tegelen North. Don’t remember them being a part of the ‘scene’.
The cover is an A4. Well done. They managed to have 2 band-pictures and colored inside on the sheet. Folded up it leaves a cranky front cover.
Recorded and mastered by: Matski? Produced by Sanity Commission.
